Construction of the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub to begin in Q2 2021

On 4 February 2021, the Land Transport Authority (“LTA”) of Singapore announced that construction of the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub is expected to start in Q2 2021. The completion date is estimated to be around 2027. The Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub will have offices, public facilities and retail shops. The development is anticipated to include a 27 storey tower and 8 storey podium. Both blocks will be connected via a sky bridge.

The tender to design and build the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub was awarded to China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) was awarded the. The contract is valued at SGD 477.4 million. China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) is also currently constructing the Boon Lay MRT Station and expected to commence work on the Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System Link viaduct and tunnels.
