Ream City masterplan by Surbana Jurong has been approved

CAMBODIA : Ream City masterplan developed by the Surbana Jurong Group (that was appointed to undertake the masterplanning, urban design and coastal engineering works for Ream City) has been approved by Canopy Sands Development. Canopy Sands Development is a company of the Prince Holding Group, one of Cambodia’s largest conglomerates. Surbana Jurong Group on the other hand, is an international urban , infrastructure and managed services consulting firm based in Singapore. The Surbana Jurong Group has extensive experience in master planning and have developed more than 100 industrial parks in more than 30 countries.

The 834-hectare Ream City Project will be developed on reclaimed land that is within a 10 minutes’ drive from Sihanoukville International Airport. Total investments for the Ream City Project is estimated at US$16 billion.

Ream City is anticipated to bring a surge of growth for the whole Sihanoukville region, Cambodia’s third-largest city and home to the Kingdom’s deep-water port. Ream City will boost tourism, commercial and residential activity in the area. It also has a potential housing capacity of up to 130,000 residents. The Ream City masterplan will lead to the construction of family attractions, condominiums, landed and beachfront homes and affordable housing estates, themed shopping malls, business hubs, beach resorts, hotels, condotels, yacht and marina club.A major part of the Ream City masterplan includes a beachfront stretching over 6 kilometres, educational facilities, sports complexes and healthcare facilities.
